→ I help you attract attention for your social, cultural or scientific subjects - and communicate them in a charming and approachable way. With vibrant and catchy illustrations that execute thoughtful narrative concepts. It's a lot of work to create lightness. But it's worth it: positive vibes, humour and understandable explanations make you reach people on an emotional level.

I have a lot of knowledge in different areas, which help me in doing so:

ILLUSTRATION & CONCEPT

I am interested in illustration not only on the visual, but also on the narrative level. Even when I was four years old, whenever I drew a picture, I made my mother write down the story that I had made up for it. Today I can draw much better (M.A. in illustration) - and I still think about image and content always as connected.

E.g. for this combination I was awarded with a German Design Award.

THE BIG PICTURE

I like illustration in itself, but I like the big picture even more. Therefore I engage with Strategic Design or science communication - and I studied Cultural Management with a focus on "Audience development and Cultural Branding" at the Professional School of Leuphana University and the Goethe Institute (M.BA. certificate).

DIGITAL KNOW-HOW

I am digitally experienced. I know the common graphic and video editing software off pat. I experiment with interactive formats and XR. I engage myself in stuff like Wordpress or Social Media, I can merge Microsoft Office with InDesign. I can implement small projects with Arduino. I can chose the right video codec. I love to learn new stuff.

CRAFT & TECHNOLOGY

I am a skilled bookbinder. Through my apprenticeship as a hand bookbinder and my work as an industrial bookbinder in different offset printing houses I have a lot of knowledge and experience in anything that has to do with print.

As a result, I gladly provide consulting or supervising the production part of your commission if necessary.

TEACHING & EXCHANGE

I don't want to think about my work in isolation, so I seek interchange with others who think about the same topics as I do.

Therefore I teach at universities (seminars at the Department Design of HAW Hamburg and the University of Europe Hamburg), I give talks about my work (f.e. at the Norden festival or the Kreativer Abend event). And I value being a member of different interdisciplinary communities which explore relevant topics (f.e. SciVi or DabeiRat).

NETWORK

I know a lot, but I don't know everything. Therefore I have a network of professional partners, for example from programming, app developing, marketing, journalism or psychology.
