The mobility of the future will be different from today: autonomous driving vehicles, new means of transport, changed user behaviour. Media technology will also change; our smartphones will probably be replaced by audio devices, Artificial Intelligence will support us in our every-day-life. This interplay between technical and behavioural change will also lead to a change in our consumption of media - regarding information and news as well as pure entertainment.
Content Foresight, a programme by nextMedia and Kreativgesellschaft Hamburg, set out to examine this intersection of content and mobility. A number of renowned companies from the mobility sector, software and hardware manufacturers and media companies came together in order to exchange ideas, build synergies and to examine potentials for innovation through a design thinking process. In the end, prototypes were supposed to be developed to express visions. These companies were supported by eight "highly qualified creatives" (Kreativgesellschaft). I was one of them.
It is quite difficult to show here in full what happened during this six-months programme; I can show two posters which I illustrated und which were kind of prototypes for fictional glasses. But the programme was actually much more about processes and concepts, about ideas and visions. That being said, the posters are rather a small concrete glimpse of a much bigger frame.
